Forcing personal agents to explain tool calls makes opaque background work auditable
_AustinCalvert_ · x · 2026-10-27
Responding to Sriram Krishnan's pain point of needing an agent to watch over his personal agents, the author now forces agents like bot, Muse and instinct to state why they want to make tool calls. This lets them group and visualize usually-opaque background work, see which agent did what and when, and feed the data back to ask things like "why did instinct change this document"—solving accountability when multiple agents share the same email/calendar data store.
