MermaidDesk Adds MCP Validation So Coding Agents Can Self-Correct Diagrams
BigStrain4584 · reddit · 2026-10-27
MermaidDesk offers an MCP tool (validatemermaid) that lets coding agents check Mermaid syntax, read error details, and auto-fix diagrams before adding them to docs. It also supports private diagram storage, browser review, SVG/PNG/PDF export, and a REST API. Connects via Streamable HTTP with a Bearer API key (client needs custom-header support); it uses your existing agent rather than running its own model. Validation checks syntax only, not whether the diagram accurately describes the system.
