Curtis Yarvin: Anthropic's alignment theology is an excuse to skip real security
SydSteyerhart · x · 2026-10-26
Curtis Yarvin stirred up an AI-safety debate, arguing that Anthropic's "doomer theology" — that no security can protect a system against arbitrary intelligence, hence everything must rely on "value alignment" — amounts to not taking security seriously. "I'm a computer scientist. This is just not true."
Will Manidis added meta-commentary, quipping that the 'cathedral' dropping its report the morning of the s1 release reads like an intel-community turf war for people who read Situational Awareness.
