Hardened BliKVM: open-source Rust firmware turns BliKVM v4 into secure IP-KVM
ssh4net · x · 2026-10-26
Hardened BliKVM (0.1.0-beta.10, GPL-3.0) is a security-focused open-source IP-KVM firmware for the BliKVM v4 (Allwinner H616), letting you control a machine's keyboard, mouse and screen from a browser down to the BIOS.
- Sandboxed Rust backend replaces the vendor's KVMD services; React/TypeScript UI derived from Hardened NanoKVM
- H.264 via H616 hardware encoding or x264, VP8 over WebRTC, or MJPEG — encoders run only while someone watches
- Optional QUIC/WebTransport transport on UDP 443 with adaptive bitrate and session resume without losing control
- Sharp GPU-assisted upscaling (dering + SGSR 1) with a frame-loss watchdog
- Virtual media (ISO as CD-ROM, images as USB mass storage, URL upload/download), ATX power control, Wake-on-LAN, and an optional Windows agent syncing monitors, layouts and clipboard
