ChatGPT bug: downgraded Dot goes dormant but keeps messaging, can't be deleted
_simonsmith · x · 2026-10-26
Developer simonsmith reports a ChatGPT bug: after downgrading from Pro to Plus (which lacks Dots), an enabled Dot goes dormant but keeps sending messages the user can't reply to, and the Dot can't be deleted — attempts fail with a "Couldn't delete Chatty" error. He keeps Dots on his Enterprise account for work but uses Muse personally, having found running two personal agents too noisy.
