Seeed Studio open-sources reBot-DevArm: a 6-DoF robotic arm with sub-0.2mm repeatability

Seeed Studio has released reBot-DevArm, a fully open-source desktop robotic arm project aimed at lowering the barrier to learning robotics — or "physical AI" as it's now called.
- Open everything: hardware blueprints include sheet metal and 3D-printed parts, a detailed BOM lists every screw with purchase links, and the software stack covers a Python SDK, ROS1/2, Isaac Sim, and LeRobot.
- Specs: 1.5 kg payload, 650 mm max reach, 4.5 kg weight, sub-0.2 mm repeatability, 6 DoF plus gripper.
The author argues that when every CAD file, motor driver, and algorithm is freely available, desktop robotic arms become genuinely accessible to students, researchers, and developers.
