Open-source MCP bridge wires IDE coding agents to deep reasoning model with local auth

Reddit user WannabeBad open-sourced Antigravity Argon Bridge, an MCP extension that connects IDE coding agents to Google's deep reasoning model for heavy architectural decisions, deep state refactors, and complex logic proofs that fast everyday models stumble on.
How it works:
- Exposes a consultargon MCP tool to the IDE agent.
- When the agent hits an algorithmic or structural challenge, it pauses and calls Argon with a configurable reasoning budget (low/medium/high thinking depth).
- Argon streams its thought process and recommendations back; the agent absorbs the architectural plan and implements changes directly.
- Auth and sessions run 100% locally with zero external relays or proxies.
Notably, developers with web Pro access (via Jio perks, carrier offers, or student promotions) can now use the model inside agentic coding workflows without enterprise API overhead.
