Logan Collins shared a hands-on AI protein design result: he used RFD4 Proteina (RFdiffusion 4) to generate putative binders for CD98hc, a blood-brain-barrier receptor protein. The highest-scoring candidate (magenta helices in the structure) achieved an ipTM of 0.88 against the receptor (cyan), demonstrating how diffusion-based protein design tools are being applied to transmembrane receptor targets relevant to crossing the blood-brain barrier.
