Anthropic: one agent now beats many subagents, single-agent setup ran ~2x faster
The Decoder · rss · 2026-10-25
Anthropic argues that as models handle complexity on their own, companies should evaluate consolidating sub-agents into a single agent that loads context on demand. In one architecture comparison, the single-agent setup ran about twice as fast. Anthropic has published a migration kit on GitHub to help teams make the switch — a notable reversal from the once-dominant multi-agent orchestration playbook.
