Kepler CEO: models cite numbers, code does the math — 30M SEC filings registry
AI Engineer · youtube · 2026-10-25
Kepler CEO Vinoo Ganesh (ex-Palantir, Citadel) explains his company's finance LLM architecture at AI Engineer: models cite numbers but never write them. Retrieval finds the source, deterministic code does the math, and a post-processing filter strips any figure that can't be verified. A citation registry built from 30M+ SEC filings structures facts as value, unit, scale, and period; a number is citable only if a tool registered it. The stack uses hybrid search and re-ranking on turbopuffer with tenant isolation, after plain RAG produced thousands of wrong numbers in evals. He also covers where the guarantees end.
