Frontier labs' quiet expectation: survive the 'vulnpocalypse', hope AI makes software unhackable
Puzzleheaded-King584 · reddit · 2026-10-25
A Reddit post shares security researcher Jeremy Harris' X thread: the expectation at frontier labs is (1) grit through a cyber apocalypse — internally called the "vulnpocalypse" — as AI weaponizes vulnerabilities, something they've expected for years; and (2) hope AI eventually gets good enough at cyber defense to make software essentially unhackable. He stresses it's an educated guess, and the vulnpocalypse might go on forever.
