ChatGPT Computer Use quietly started working on Intel Macs, no announcement

An Intel Mac user (2019 16" MacBook Pro, i9, macOS Tahoe 26.6.2) reports that after updating the ChatGPT desktop app (26.1021.31345, released Oct 23), Computer Use fully works — previously limited to Excel and Chrome, with the lock toggle, Appshots and Computer History all disabled. Nothing was announced: no release-note mention, and as of Oct 23 the official forum still said Computer Use wasn't supported on Intel Macs.
