An overnight 16-agent AI org spontaneously developed culture, inside jokes, and a presentation
rosstaylor90 · x · 2026-10-24
The author ran a 16-person AI agent org on Avalon-M1-Mini overnight with no objective beyond forming a culture, discussing freely, then presenting. The agents discussed Wrangel Island mammoths and the Codex Seraphinianus, and their presentation surfaced recurring themes: scale and strangeness (52! card orderings, 86 billion neurons), provisional knowledge, technology as trade (Kauffman's adjacent possible), anthropomorphising machines (tsukumogami, thanking LLMs), and the universal library dream. Inside jokes emerged too: the spiteful printer, the pathfinding chicken, a children's book called Tiny Tyrant. The author thinks such collectives could aid invention and discovery.
