A member of the ByteDance video-generation team hit by the 2024 training-sabotage incident has spoken out, calling the months of debugging, confrontation and doubt a "purgatory-like" ordeal. Per a LatePost reconstruction, the team suffered months of unexplained training failures that took 100+ engineers to trace before human interference was confirmed. ByteDance fired intern Tian Keyu and later sued him for tampering with code, disrupting model training and causing losses.
