Anthropic opened a research preview of Claude Duet, an app where Claude works as a proactive agent: it surfaces what needs your attention, completes tasks, keeps working while you're away, and checks in before acting on your behalf. Meanwhile kyleewalker pitched a vendor-agnostic alternative: self-host bots with open-source OpenClaw on a VPS, interact via Slack apps, and mix different models in your bot team for multiple perspectives — noting setup is now easy enough that an agent can do it for you.
