Flipper fake USB mic plugged into Samsung TV, experiment code open-sourced
ngxson · x · 2026-10-24
ngxson plugged his Flipper Zero fake USB microphone app into a Samsung TV and will report findings the next day, open-sourcing flipper-app in the samsung-tv-root repo. The app presents a USB Audio Class 1.0 mic outputting 16kHz mono pseudo-random noise (-53dBFS), with on-screen states (HOST READING / Open / Idle) showing whether the host actually reads audio. He cautions that enumeration alone doesn't prove Samsung voice services use it.
