Samsung TV opens fake USB mic and records for exactly 5 seconds, test shows
ngxson · x · 2026-10-24
ngxson's first result: the moment the Flipper fake USB mic was connected, the Samsung TV opened it and captured audio for exactly 5 seconds, then stopped and never recorded again. He suspects the precise 5-second window is some kind of mic test routine, but says longer observation is needed before drawing conclusions — the first direct experimental evidence on whether Samsung TVs actively use external microphones.
