Cloudflare CEO warns AI is surfacing hidden internet flaws 'every single week'

Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince told Reuters he knows of additional severe vulnerabilities in other critical software being patched, beyond this week's PHP flaws that disrupted government websites, predicting busy months as AI surfaces long-hidden weaknesses in the fabric of the internet: 'every single week it's going to feel like the sky is falling.'
AI researcher François Fleuret adds a sharper point: formally satisfying models for OS and programming languages have long existed but were never adopted because they annoyed developers. Now that developers are AIs, there's finally real reason to beef things up.
