An industrial AI startup announced a $130M Series D at a $1.4B valuation, led by Sapphire Ventures.
- Seven years ago it picked markets nobody wanted: steel, chemicals, energy, food, paper, and data centers, building its own rugged hardware stack deployed inside the world's largest plants
- Years of real production-line data fed Janus, its multimodal industrial foundation model that understands how an entire plant behaves, pointing toward one system running whole operations
- The company also built a proprietary AI center with its own supercomputing infrastructure
