Eka Robotics, founded by MIT professor Pulkit Agrawal and Google DeepMind's Tuomas Haarnoja, closed a $150M Series A at a $1.45B valuation led by a16z and F-Prime. Instead of vision-language-action, it built a vision-force-action model: force and touch close the last-millimeter problem vision alone can't solve. It picks 1,500 objects/hour vs 600 for a human with 95%+ reliable pickup, and its custom gripper costs under $1,000, rated for 5M cycles. The thread's reply covers Agile Robots and Audi's proof-of-concept at NVIDIA GTC Berlin: mobile humanoids picking and sequencing parts at Audi's Ingolstadt plant, validated via a Dassault Systèmes virtual twin.
