Jensen Huang declares AGI arrived with GPT-6 Astra; researcher says real-time learning is missing
haider1 · x · 2026-10-23
Jensen Huang posted that OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra — trained on 100K+ NVIDIA Grace Blackwell NVL72 systems, going from ChatGPT to Astra in 4 years — means "AGI has arrived," with 400K more GPUs coming online.
Researcher haider pushes back:
- The main thing missing is real-time learning, with little visible progress in that direction;
- A good enough harness might simulate it well enough without true human-like learning;
- He doubts labs would make it public even if they cracked it.
A representative clash between the "AGI is here" narrative and the technical-gap view.
