Nintendo's Miyamoto says AI won't make human creativity obsolete: 'a role will always remain for us'

Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto shared his view on AI and creativity: AI won't make human creativity obsolete. He noted that looking back at past designs, some were created merely by copying and pasting, and such work rarely stands the test of time because it lacks an individual's particular design intention.
"Because the process relies on an individual's intent, with the computer serving as an assistant for the labor, I believe that even as technology continues to evolve, and even if AI were to eventually handle everything, there will always be a role left for us to play." The reposter added that Miyamoto also said AI will likely help game designers focus on more important things — he's not anti-AI.
