Maxinsights raises $30M seed to collect hand-force data for robot training
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-10-23
Robot data startup Maxinsights announced a $30M seed round led by Peak XV Partners, plus two products: MaxLoop (same-day quality scores on every clip) and MaxGlove.
The thesis: homes are becoming one of the richest sources of robot training data, but video alone isn't enough — hand force data is among the most useful signals for manipulation. Pressure decides most grasps (whether a glass slides out or cracks), and slip corrections begin at the fingertips before cameras can pick them up. A policy trained only on video must infer force; glove data supplies it directly from humans handling the same objects robots will face.
Maxinsights has captured 2M+ hours of real work in homes, restaurants and hotels, and aims for 1M hours of force data by 2027.
