An agent edits its host app's own source code and rebuilds it on-device, with preview and rollback

A developer demonstrated letting an AI agent customize the very app it runs inside by editing the app's source code and rebuilding it on-device. The demo shows generating a new theme and wiring it into app settings, with preview before apply and one-tap restore to the original state.
The idea: have the agent edit the presentation layer for customization depth no settings menu could match, while the data structures and core functionality stay protected. If a build won't start, the original app comes back automatically, and a Safe mode exists via long-press. A neat glimpse of apps that adapt to preferences instead of enumerating them in advance.
