Uber expands ChatGPT Work to 30,000+ staff; engineers keep Codex

Uber is giving OpenAI's ChatGPT Work agent to more than 30,000 employees, 30x its 1,000-person pilot. Engineers keep Codex while ChatGPT Work serves operations, finance, marketing and product staff with internal skills and training. Uber hasn't disclosed costs or productivity results; the rollout follows 3,300 job cuts a month earlier, which the company says are unrelated.
