Vercel adds TakoViz to AI Gateway: structured data instead of text for AI search
nicolascraske · x · 2026-10-23
- Vercel announced that data service TakoViz is now on AI Gateway: when an AI needs up-to-date numbers, it returns structured, sourced data (stocks, polls, weather, sports) instead of pages of text.
- Rauch called it one of the coolest real-world Generative UI examples, noting AI Gateway is becoming a marketplace of tools — adding a tool to the AI SDK takes literally one line of code and gives the model "Google-like" capabilities.
- Takeaway for developers: apps needing live, workable numbers can now pull them via a standardized tool interface.
