Anti-AI Slop Books: open tools to detect AI-generated books
TuhinChakr · x · 2026-10-23
Tuhin Chakraborty is building "Anti-AI Slop Books" with Ed Newton-Rex — open tools letting readers, platforms, and authors verify whether a book is substantially human-written and which human works an AI model may be regurgitating or closely imitating.
The authors argue AI companies' claim that training doesn't harm creators is contradicted by reality: Amazon is already flooded with AI-generated books earning real money while crowding out human authors. They call for creative labor to be protected.
