Victor Taelin Offers $1,000 to Anyone Who Can Hack His Open-Source Bend Bank Demo
jd_pressman · x · 2026-10-23
Bend language creator Victor Taelin launched a public cracking challenge with a $1,000 bounty. His demo app "Bend Bank" is fully open-source, and anyone who can do one of the following wins: leak the secret word stored in the taelin account's private note, spend someone else's money, or create money out of thin air. The app claims Bend's proof system guarantees account privacy, theft protection, and money conservation, verifiable via bend PROOF.bend --verdict. It's a public stress test of the language's formal verification claims.
