FrontierMemory Benchmark Targets Continual Learning, Not Just Recall
sujingshen · x · 2026-10-23
@charlespacker argues existing memory benchmarks are saturated: they measure fact recall, which is solved in the coding-harness/bash-loop era, while continual learning in token space remains unsolved. The new FrontierMemory benchmark measures whether AI-generated memory actually improves downstream performance — a memory-bearing agent should beat a memory-less one on cost or score. By this measure, frontier models vary widely (e.g. Opus 5.5 vs GLM-5.3).
