WooCommerce MCP server lets Claude query store orders, stock and sales (read-only by default)

thejester1324 · reddit · 2026-10-23

A developer released an MCP server for WooCommerce stores built on the standard REST API keys, letting Claude answer questions like "what sold best in the last 30 days" or "which products are under 5 in stock" without opening the admin. It ships seven read tools (orders, single order, products, single product, customers, low-stock report, date-range sales summary) plus two write tools for stock and order status that stay off unless WCALLOWWRITES=true, since status changes trigger customer emails. Details: exact money strings with currency code, store-timezone dates, paginated reports that announce a 5,000-item cap, and plain-sentence API errors. Python, MIT, installs with pipx, with Claude Desktop/Code setup in the README.
