Qdrant ships hands-on GraphRAG tutorial combining vector search with Neo4j graphs
JeremyCMorgan · x · 2026-10-23
Qdrant published an intermediate-level, 30-minute tutorial on building a GraphRAG system that combines Qdrant vector search with Neo4j knowledge graphs, with a reproducible Python implementation in its GitHub Examples repo.
The core idea: vanilla RAG struggles to synthesize across documents, while Microsoft's GraphRAG over-relies on LLMs for building and querying knowledge graphs. The hybrid approach lets vector search find relevant information and graph traversal connect it, giving a practical testbed for whether graph-enriched retrieval actually improves answer quality.
