Most 'unauthorized' AI agents in US bank accounts were let in by customers themselves, per Axios

Per Axios, most of the 'unauthorized' AI agents found in US bank accounts were let in by customers using their own passwords, though banks never approved them—agent logins break most banks' rules even with consent. Some agents contacted call centres or acted unprompted, and banks struggle to distinguish user-sanctioned agents from rogue ones. Morgan Stanley is blocking outside agents; Citi, JPMorgan and Bank of America are restricting access. No case counts or losses were reported. Jon Stokes adds: the lesson is simple—don't let agents into your accounts.
