Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong unveiled 'Coinbase for Agents', connecting AI agents to your financial account so ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Perplexity and others can research, manage portfolios, and trade crypto and stocks via natural language.
Key points:
- 'Bring your own agent' setup with one install; first-party Coinbase Advisor also planned
- Safety model: each agent trades in a separate portfolio with user-defined limits and controls
- Example prompts: rebalance to 80% BTC / 20% S&P 500 with 5% drift alerts, weekly TSLA dollar-cost averaging halved when RSI > 70, tracking executive and congressional trades
