ReAPO paper: conditioning retries on failures beats GRPO in RLVR reasoning training
jasondeanlee · x · 2026-10-23
New paper Retry-Aware Policy Optimization (ReAPO) lets LLMs retry failed attempts during RLVR, conditioning retries on failures to improve exploration; it improves both accuracy and training efficiency relative to GRPO, suggesting failure-driven retry is an effective lever for reasoning training.
