Datalab OCR tiers: lite at $0.50, balanced at $4.00, accurate at $10.00 per 1,000 pages
VikParuchuri · x · 2026-10-23
Datalab clarified lite mode's tradeoffs: it's 8x cheaper than balanced but struggles with handwriting and complex layouts including tables. The balanced and accurate modes use larger models and score 91.6 and 93.5 on the full OmniParseBench. Not every use case needs top accuracy—for those, fast and cheap wins.
