Dev uses Codex to remotely root a Samsung TV and strip eMudhra root certificates
charliermarsh · x · 2026-10-23
A developer had Codex connect to his Samsung Frame Pro TV over the developer connection, gain root, and remove eMudhra/emSign root certificates from the trust store while remote. The 539 KB reversible toolkit includes .NET root payloads, a Python controller, inspection tools, optional debloating of 12 systemd units, and 11 file overlays removing four questionable roots. Ruff author charliermarsh quipped this could be a new hillclimb: how fast a project remediates an eMudhra-level incident.
