Dev open-sources a WhatsApp MCP server that pipes chats into Claude locally

A developer managing many company WhatsApp groups built his own WhatsApp MCP server for Claude and open-sourced it (zuhaibasad/whatsapp-claude-mcp). It lets you ask Claude which messages are critical, which mention you, and get group summaries, plus push info to Notion, email, or calendar. For privacy, chats are stored encrypted on the local PC only, limited to explicitly allowed groups and media.
