har2sdk turns browser HAR captures into MCP servers for undocumented APIs
HiAxiAcee · reddit · 2026-10-23
har2sdk is a new open-source CLI targeting a common pain point: internal tools with no public API or docs. Feed it a HAR export from devtools and it generates an MCP server, plus a typed TS client and an OpenAPI spec from the same capture.
- Detects path params (/users/{id}) and distinguishes GraphQL / tRPC / JSON-RPC from plain REST
- Security: HARs contain session cookies and tokens, so recorded values are scrubbed before reaching generated code; capture content is passed to the model as untrusted data, not instructions, hardening against prompt injection (paths and field names still leak)
- Runs locally, no API key, MIT licensed
