Ex-Cockroach Labs vets launch Tiles AI after internal tool hit 85% weekly usage in 12 weeks
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-22
Two Cockroach Labs veterans (10 and 7 years there) left to found Tiles AI, which turns scattered AI wins into company-wide capability: subject-matter experts build, share and promote AI agents, apps and skills into verified official standards.
The pitch is backed by their in-house precursor at Cockroach Labs: within 12 weeks, 85% of the company used it weekly, building 2,000+ apps plus thousands of agents and skills. Their thesis: what blocks enterprise AI outcomes isn't smarter models, but the lack of an easy environment for sharing and collaboration.
Features: works with any model or inference provider, built-in governance/permissions/audit trail, fully managed or self-hosted, and describe-an-app generation with database, hosting and security included. Early access is open.
