Consultant mardehaym shares a real-world build: for a PE-backed healthcare platform with 70 clinics and 9 legal entities, an agentic system is being built to cut month-end close from 16 business days to 10.
Key design:
- One company-owned data layer with 5 agents on top, fed by every source system
- Every ledger load must reconcile to the cent with source balances under the same reporting cutoff
- Code handles calculations and finance-approved consolidation rules including intercompany eliminations; unresolved differences stay visible
- Goal: one set of numbers to close quickly, report to lenders, and defend in a sale
