A creator has released the first episode of a new series, THE GARDEN ARCHIVE: TAPE 01—an archive-restoration/anomalous-structures sci-fi story he had been developing for ten years, evolving from a phone note through short story, comic, and animated short attempts before generative AI finally made it producible.
Everything in the episode was made using only free or open-source models and software. The creator invites discussion of his workflow and plans further episodes.
