Deutsche Bank Deploys Farsight On-Prem as Financial AI Question Shifts to Where Models Run
huggingface · x · 2026-10-22
Hugging Face and Farsight co-authored a post arguing that open models now meet the bar for demanding financial work, including multi-step agentic tasks, and can run efficiently on hardware firms already own. The binding constraint has shifted from model quality to where models are allowed to run. Deutsche Bank has deployed Farsight on-premise. Two drivers: sensitive data that confidentiality and data-residency rules keep inside the institution, and governance processes that open models must pass before deployment. Farsight runs inside firms' environments powering pitch books, memos, and financial models, while Hugging Face handles model access, approval, and governance.
