Free book 'LangGraph in Small Pieces' teaches agents from blocks to production
truckkicker · reddit · 2026-10-22
A free online book, LangGraph in Small Pieces: Building AI Agents from Blocks to Production, is out with an open GitHub repo. Part I covers LangGraph primitives (state, nodes, edges, loops, checkpoints, interrupts) without any LLM; Part II adds tool calling, structured output, MCP, memory, streaming and testing; Part III covers production concerns like serving, observability, RAG, evaluation, blue-green deploys and guardrails. All transcripts are real runs pasted verbatim, the default setup runs a local Qwen3.8-27B via LM Studio, and each chapter ends with tiered challenges and worked solutions.
