Reddit user seeks orchestration setups to cut Claude Opus costs with cheaper agents
or45t · reddit · 2026-10-22
A Reddit user finds Claude Opus effective but too expensive and is exploring orchestrators like Herdr to mix models: Opus for planning, Sonnet/Codex and other cheaper agents for execution.
Simply having Opus plan and cheaper models execute produced poor output, so he wants the orchestrator to validate cheaper agents' work with automatic feedback loops, and is asking others for their cost-effective orchestration setups.
