Google launches Gemini API CLI preview: reasoning, media gen and agents in your terminal
rseroter · x · 2026-10-22
Google released the preview of Gemini API CLI (gemini-api), a zero-dependency binary that brings its latest reasoning models, media generation, multimodal analysis, and Managed Agents into your terminal and coding agents.
It lets agents generate images, videos, text-to-speech or music, analyze media, transcribe audio, and manage agents — no more guessing model strings, throwaway scripts, or endless curl commands.
