A hobbyist discovered an 'Einstein' tile in four dimensions: a single shape that tiles 4D space but only nonperiodically. It is claimed to be the first 4D aperiodic monotile proven with a machine checker (Lean), extending the earlier 3D 'hat' tile result. Clifford Pickover amplified the find.
