Hands-on: building protein design workflows with RFD4-Proteina on Hugging Face Spaces
AllThingsApx · x · 2026-10-22
NVIDIA engineers published an HF community tutorial on building repeatable protein design workflows with RFD4-Proteina. The model unifies sequence and all-atom structure generation, handling molecular contexts with proteins, small molecules, nucleic acids, glycans, metal ions, and modified residues. Architecture: a flow-matching model plus autoencoder, where each residue/nucleotide/sugar is an anchor-atom coordinate plus a learned latent vector, generated jointly and decoded into full 3D structures and sequences. The tutorial walks through defining a design task, generating proteins, and assembling a reusable workflow.
