Give your AI agent cross-session memory with Pydantic AI and a vector DB
True-Wrongdoer-1 · reddit · 2026-10-22
A developer shares a tutorial for solving the classic problem of agents forgetting everything between sessions, using Pydantic AI plus a vector database. The flow: extract valuable facts from user messages, embed them into vectors, retrieve memories relevant to each new query, and inject them into the agent's context. In the demo, the agent memorized Terraform and GitHub Actions deployment details, survived a Python session restart, and still recalled the right info in a new session even when the question was reworded.
