Dev shows off self-built infra stack — HTTP clients, attention kernels, model routers — to quit dependencies
wavefnx · x · 2026-10-22
Quoting Yacine's "things will continue to get worse until you stop using dependencies," developer wavefnx shows the infrastructure he's been building himself since March: custom HTTP clients, parsers, optimized matrix multiplication/attention kernels, grapheme utilities, video codecs, SSE and streaming, model routers, storage, and math libraries.
His argument: now is the time to build infrastructure, and rendering/GUI is the last thing that matters — the priority is owning the base layer: HTTP, a unified LLM provider library, autocomplete, long-running tasks, pub-sub, and streaming.
