A complete guide to giving Claude perfect memory with folders, CLAUDE.md and daily logs
evielync · x · 2026-10-22
evielync shares a full setup for persistent Claude memory that she says has run for six months without losing project context — no more re-explaining your business every session.
The system is a few folders and files forming three memory layers:
- Home folder: a dedicated AI directory (hers is "Chad") managed via Claude's Cowork mode (or Claude Code), which lets Claude create and edit local files; anchored by CLAUDE.md plus skills/ and threads/
- Threads: one md file per project or business topic, split into standing (long-lived references like brand positioning, operational context) and one-off projects
- Daily logs: date-stamped entries of what was done, decided, and what's next, with an instruction telling Claude to check the logs when recent events come up
Free setup files are attached, claimed to be replicable in 30 minutes.
